Who is Scott - The Nerdy BA?
Hello, my name is Scott! Welcome to my blog about all things Business Analysis viewed through the lens of nerd culture.

I've been a Business Analyst for a few years now, since leaving University back in 2015. I've mainly been learning the BA best practices on the job - like most BAs - and spend my time getting right into the detail of business processes, requirements and all the other fun stuff which comes with the role.

Having worked in both the energy and the purpose-built student accommodation industries, I've quickly seen how different every business Stakeholder can be but the tools and tools and techniques we all use are the same.
Why is it called The Nerdy BA blog?
My favourite things to do include playing video games, watching movies and TV shows, cooking, working out at the gym, travelling and going to live music.

In a typical BA fashion, I love to know the process of how things work and spend hours watching videos, listening to podcasts and reading articles which explain how things work behind the scenes and the process how how they are made (specially video games and movies). I would call that quite nerdy, wouldn't you?
Why did I start a blog?
I read articles from other BAs which have great insight based on their own experiences, whether that be in their professional or personal lives. I want to add my own thoughts to the mix, based on some of the discoveries linked to what I am interested in. My posts will be a mix of personal experiences and BA tools I've encountered during my travels through life (and my hobbies too!). Not to brag, but I think this could be the best crossover since Avengers Endgame or Super Smash Bros.!
